Change email subject

Hello,

I would like to change the subject of an e-mail. I want to put "KW" at the beginning of the subject line. However, this should not be done for all unread emails, but only for those that I have selected in a Power Apps gallery.
Now to my main question: Can I add a button to the gallery so that the flow is only executed for the selected record? If so, how?

Best regards!

    Hi @Tim30179 ,

What are your Gallery and flow settings? Could you please share more details about them?

    Hello @v-jefferni ,

i added a screenshot of my flow and my gallery.

    The gallery settings are: If(RefreshOutlook;Blank();Office365Outlook.GetEmails({fetchOnlyUnread:true}))

The KW button just starts the flow (KWeinfügen.Run())

Normally, buttons that are in a gallery only edit the data record using the Power Apps ID. Is it possible to give the flow an ID from the data set so that it only addresses the individual e-mail?

I am still very new to Power Apps and Power Automate, so my knowledge is limited.

    Best regards,

    Tim

    Hi @Tim30179 ,

In your flow, you need to use a Get email action instead, populate the Message Id field with dynamic content from PowerApps trigger, and on the KW button run the flow with current Email Id:

    KWeinfügen.Run(ThisItem.'Message Id')

    Hello @v-jefferni ,

I tried to fix things, but now I get a small error in Power Apps. I have attached a picture of the new flow and the error message. Is the flow built correctly?

I created a new app and a different flow for testing, so don't be surprised that the flow is called something else.

Edit: Is there another way to get dynamic content from the power apps trigger? When I don't have the Email Input, at Get email (V2),I can't choose any dynamic content.

    Best regards,

    Tim

    Hi @Tim30179 ,

If you only need to send Email to a fixed email address, you can do it in PowerApps directly. Use below formula OnSelect of KM Button:

    Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2("abc@microsoft.com","KM"&ThisItem.Subject,ThisItem.Body)

    Hi @v-jefferni ,

unfortunately, the problem has returned in another way. I have to reply to the individual e-mail at the push of a button and the text must contain dynamic content from a SQL database. How can I specify an ID for the email in the flow so that the flow only replies to the email for which I have pressed the button in the gallery with the predefined email?

    Best regards,

    Tim
