Hello,
I have a Powerapp based on Azure SQL table. This app is used by me in US and some of my colleagues in UK, India
I have a few date picker fields which has nvarchar(max) as its datatype in the SQL table.
In my app and when I submit the date it gets submitted in the format mm/dd/yyyy. When my colleague submits the date it submits in the format dd/mm/yyyy. Till here it is kind of ok, but when I access my colleagues UK record from the PowerApp the date picker values get corrupted where I can see some random futuristic dates like 2/3/2024
After so much testing, I observed this has something to do with the Chrome language settings. I am using English US as language in chrome browser and my colleague is using English UK as language in chrome browser.
Seems like the chrome language settings are overriding and corrupting the UK records or viceversa if the chrome language settings are different across regions.
I tried a lot of configurations using Text conversions but nothing worked. When I made the data type of date picker as date, then the UK folks are unable to submit their form. I did a poc with only 1 date picker field and observed the same as well.
Is there any solution to this problem?. This seems so concerning to me as the data that is submitted is getting corrupted for critical date picker fields.
date format getting corrupted that I can see in the Azure SQL table when submitted from Powerapps
