NewForm Fields Populating When They're Not Supposed To

Hello,

When I go to add a new entry, it plugs in data from a pre-existing entry. See the example below. You will notice it is most likely taking the first entry of the list or the one I click on.

First entry of the list:

Then I click to make a new entry:

After I click on an entry and go to make a new entry, it clearly pulls in a different Project Name and Task Category depending on the entry I just clicked:

This is the OnSelect property of the button to see an entry's data:

Set(
 gblID,
 ThisItem.ID
);
Navigate(DetailScreenSelf)

This is the OnSelect property of the + icon to create a new entry:

NewForm([@InputScreenSelfForm]);Navigate(InputScreenSelf, ScreenTransition.None)

The Default property for Project Name and Task Category is:

Parent.Default

The Items property for both controls here are tables.

What should I do to ensure a clean swipe every time a user comes onto this screen?

    What is the onselect code for the plus + button? You should instantiate a new form using NewForm(Form1) so that the form is ready for a new entry.

    Form1 will be the name of your form.

    @Anchov

    OnSelect of the + icon:

    NewForm([@InputScreenSelfForm]);Navigate(InputScreenSelf, ScreenTransition.None)

    1. You  may want to try adding a Reset Form() in front of NewForm():

    ResetForm(InputScreenSelfForm); NewForm([@InputScreenSelfForm]);Navigate(InputScreenSelf, ScreenTransition.None)

    2. What is the default property of at the card level of one of the fields that is not clearing?  This is the parent container of the input box or drop down.  Example:

    Anchov_0-1678899982603.png

    If you are using a variable to define the default, these may also need to be "reset" out to properly reset the form.  You can add addition command to reset in the OnReset property of the form.  Example:

    Set(varProjectDefault, Blank())

    @Anchov I resolved this by setting the OnSelect property of the + icon to:

    NewForm([@InputScreenSelfForm]);Navigate(InputScreenSelf, ScreenTransition.None);
    Set(varReset,true);Set(varReset,false)

    Then I set the Reset property of the controls to:

    varReset

    Works from what I see.
