Patch a textinput using an SQL connector

Good Morning, 

 

I have created a simple app to update a text field back to a SQL database. 

 

The text field is called OverrideDescription. I created the following formula:

 

Patch('ValidationAudit', ThisItem, {OverrideDescription: TestInput1.Text})

 

I get the following error message: 

Behaviour function is a non-behaviour property. You can't use this property to change values elsewhere in the app

 

I have managed to get the update to work on a toggle using the following formula:

Patch('ValidationAudit', ThisItem, {OverrideFlag: Toggle1.Value})

 

Any assistance would be gratefully received.

    Are you using a Gallery or is the Code Patch('ValidationAudit', ThisItem, {OverrideDescription: TestInput1.Text}) inside a Gallery?

    I resolved the issue, the code was OK, however, I needed to add the code to the OnSelect NOT the default!.
