I want to copy excel file with dynamic file name.

I am trying to do the same with copy file action as shown below:

file: /CTPT_Automation/Oppertunity_sheets/sCRMID.xlsx where sCRMID is variable

The file id '/CTPT_Automation/Oppertunity_sheets/13579.xlsx' is not valid. where 13579=sCRMID is dynamic

Kindy suggest any way to copy excel file with dynamic file name.

Hi @Anonymous

You can use a "Compose Action" to build the path you want. The using the "Move or rename a file using path" you can move it to the path that is in the variable or compose.

Thanks for your reply but this is not working perhaps. Let me tell you the requirement in detail :

I have one folder on SharePoint which have many excel files saved with different file names obviously.

Now using power automate, I want to search one file based on its name, want to copy that file, edit that file by adding some more sheets in it and again want to save that file.

File I can save in same folder only with updated file name or in another folder also.

I am trying to do the same with below action :

Folder name is : /CTPT_automation/Oppertunity_sheets
Excel file name is : sCRM ID.xlsx (means there are many files in this folder with different sCRM IDs)

so In power automate, I want to give the reference of this sCRM ID to pick the file but I am getting below error:

(in below excample : scRM iD = 13579

but this file with same name is there in the folder as shown below:

This is the actual problem I am facing.
May be if we can further discuss over some call or chat or meeting if possible.
