My organization is creating 2 applications. One canvas app using premium connectors and a model driven app. I want to use a service account, there are 2 developers and 40 end users of the canvas app, 3 of which needs to use the model driven app for admin purposes. I want to use per app licenses for the users. Do I need to get a powerapps premium license for the service account and do the developers also need paid licenses?
We have a pipeline in place with 3 enironments. Dev, QA and Prod. The first two are of type Developer and the last of type Production. Would the developers technically have enough with a free developer plan? I think it would be best of they can access the application in production too. In that case would per app plans for the developers suffice or do they need premium plans.
If I assume the service account uses premium and the devs use per app plans like the end users, I come to following number of licenses:
1 premium license for sevice account
40 per app licenses for end users of canvas apps
3 per app licenses for the end users who also need access to the model driven app
4 per app licenses for the developers since both would need access to canvas and model driven app.
Which comes to a total of 1 premium license and 47 per app licenses. Is this correct?
