Approval Connector Query

I've created a flow that uses 'start and wait for an approval'. The connection for this block is se to 'Approvals', as docs.

Everything appears to be working, but the MS Teams notifications popup with my name as the approver e.g.

'[my name] sent you a request'

I want the notification to contain the name of the person making the request, e.g.

'John sent you a request' Or 'Sara has sent you a request'

I created the flow so does this mean it will always use my name in the notification even though the request has nothing to do with me? I don't want my name to appear anywhere on the request as it goes to management.

Any ideas?

If you used an automatic trigger then the request is running in your security context.  That's why it shows the request as coming from you.  Under the advanced settings there is the ability to add the requestor's email.  If you do that it will still use your account to send the approval, but will change the requested by name to the name of the requestor.

    Thanks @Pstork1

I'm unable to test it because now i'm receiving a different error message, see below.

I haven't changed anything, it was working.

Is the email address you are adding to the requestor field an internal email?  It can't be an external user.

@Pstork1 I think this is the issue, I had a name in the requestor field. I can't see how to add the requestor's email address dynamically? I'm not collecting it anywhere on the form that I can see. I am collecting name and various other fields.

Assuming that the name you are requesting is internal and matches the Display Name of the user you could use Office 365 Users search action to find the user.  That would let you access their email.

Thanks @Pstork1  and at what stage would I add this block?

Anytime after you get the name from the form and before you need to use the email in the approval.
