How to Map data from a lookup column on a custom entity to a text column from the source during import

Hi all,

 

I am trying to import data from excel to a custom entity with the various columns. Name, Age, Location etc.

 

Location is what I want to use as a lookup field, but it's in text format from the source, hence it can't be mapped hindering me from successfully importing the data.

 

I want to create row-level security on the entity permissions on Powerapps portal such that anyone from the same location can view the same data on the web page.

 

My main issues are:

 

  1. Is there a way to enter data in the Lookup column with the right data type as the source for easy mapping?
  2. Apart from linking a contact to a row they own, Can I link it using a location such that anyone from location A can view records from that location and not B?

Any help on how to achieve this will be highly appreciated, been stuck for days.

    Regarding to your second question, for now the Entity View Filter function support to filter by the related entity, for example:
