Replace classic Common Data Service workflows with flows

Dear community,

working through the documentation at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/replace-workflows-with-flows I found the following instruction:

"From the list of triggers, select Common Data Service (Current Environment) – When a record is selected, and then select Quotes as the entity."

However, there is no option to select "When a record is selected" using the "Common Data Service (Current Environment)". There are only two options "When a flow step is execute" and "When a record is created, updated or deleted", but no "When a record is selected". How can I make this trigger visible?

Hi @kv, as the documentation says, you need to create the flow in a solution. You get the "Common Data Service (Current Environment) – When a record is selected" trigger if you are creating the flow inside a solution (please see images below). This trigger is not available when you are outside a solution.

    Hope this helps.

As you can see in your screenshot, the connector user by "When a record is selected" is "Common Data Service", not "Common Data Service (current environment)".

Or maybe I am mistaken: can you confirm, that your "When a record is selected" trigger has the "Run as" option, where you can select whether the flow is executed as "Triggering" user? (as depicted here https://d365demystified.com/2020/10/30/run-as-context-in-cds-current-environment-flow-trigger-power-automate/)
