You used to be able to goto the panel on the right side of the UI and refresh the datasource.

I've been looking for an hour to see where you can acomplish this now!!! Has it been removed (why wouldnt it be)??

Yes I know you can add a button and use the refresh datasource function or close and open the app. I dont want to do that just for the shear priniciple of it. Really, these constant irritations from Microsoft products is beyond exasperating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

JUST LEAVE THINS ALONE!!!!! I even had to seach for how to create a new post (????!!!!!) It used to be under my profile, now it's only avaialble after a search after searching for 15 minutes. Woooooowwwwwwwwww.

Try View > Data Sources from the action bar on top and then a data source panel will appear on your right.

If it is a new app then I noticed that when you go View > Data Sources it opens a panel on your left side.

The contents of that panel is very similar to the one on the screen when choosing a datasource, although the elipse one you point out has the refresh option (??). Why not put it in both places.

The contents of the new data panel on the left also includes the refresh command for data sources that already exist in your app. Remember there is no need to refresh them when adding a new data source. Once added they will show up on the top of the new data source panel. If you click on the elipse the refresh command is still there.

Thanks Pstork. I never checked the left since the right side version (when choosing/changing a data source) doesn't offer the 'refresh' option.

How intuitive is that??!!

The one on the right side now isn't the same as the one that used to be there. They've changed the original Data Source dialog to add more emphasis on CDS and entities. They also moved it to the Left side, which is the confusing part. The one that is still on the right is really just a dropdown list of data sources that have been added.

Yes. I've never used such an irresolute app before.

How's about, firstly, clearing up other matters that people have been requesting over the years.
