Powerapps studio shuts down when launching

Dear,

I know similar posts have already been created, but my problem is still not solved and I am getting quite frustrated.

I am using HP laptop with windows 10 and installed Powerapps a few weeks ago (for the first time).

When I launch Powerapps studio, it closes after 1 second without any error, but in the events viewer I have the following:

Activation of app Microsoft.MSApps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: The remote procedure call failed. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

Event ID=5973

I already tried to reinstall (multiple times), did a reset of the app, did a reset of the Windows Store Cache.

Other apps are working normally.

What can I do next?

Hi Thomas,

A couple of suggestions:
1.Could you please collect the latest few log files from the local disk. The path should be something like: “"C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MSApps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\core_log<number>.log"

Please share the log files via a private message or e-mail to me.

2.Please check in Windows Store to make sure you have the latest version.

3.If still failing, please try to uninstall and install again.

Thank you for your quick response!

1. I don't have any log files in this localstate folder... I do have Resources folder which are empty.
But in the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log I get 3 errors when I launch powerapps.
Event 5990: Activation via contract helper of the app Microsoft.MSApps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App for the Windows.Launch contract failed with The remote procedure call failed..
Event 5961: Activation of the app Microsoft.MSApps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App for the Windows.Launch contract failed with error: The remote procedure call failed..
Event 5985: ActivateApplicationForContractByAppIdAsUserWithHost of the app Microsoft.MSApps_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App for the Windows.Launch contract failed with The remote procedure call failed..

2. Powerapps version = 2.0.592.0

But which version? Run winver.exe or similar. We are trying to ascertain if you are using an Insider build, as those have, on more than one occasion, broken PowerApps.

Thomas, have you tried authoring using in Web?
