Items formula delegation issue

Hello,

I'm wondering if I can get some advice on how to fix a delegation warning. I have over 1000 entries in my Daily Log so it is starting to become an issue. Below is the Items formula both as text and as a screenshot so you can see exactly where I am getting the blue squigglies. I would appreciate any advice on how to get around this since I am currently testing this app out on myself, but would like to eventually roll it out to the entire department as a project time tracking solution. Let me know if there is any other information you need. Thank you! Teresa

    Hi Teresa!

    You are trying to perform a Text function on a field in your datasource in the filter...this will not be delegable as the datasource will not be able to take a PowerApp function and process it on the source side.  Thus, the delegation warning!

    Consider changing to:

    Sort(
     Filter('Project Time Spent',
     'Admin Email'=varUser.Email &&
     'Start Time' >= dpDailyLog.SelectedDate &&
     'Start Time' < DateAdd(dpDailyLog.SelectedDate, 1, Days)
     ),
     'Start Time', Ascending
    )

    This will do all the PowerApps function on the App side prior to the source.  It will be able to delegate that because the DateAdd is done prior to the query being generated and you are instead just comparing greater and less than...which is all delegable.

    I hope this is helpful for you.
