Sharing PDF and word documents on the portal

Hi all,

I have a subgrid on a form in my portal that displays the files (from the files tab in the Dynamics customer service app.)

This way customers can access their information and also they can upload or view existing files via the portal.

The problem I have is that I don't want the customers to see all the files in that subgrid as some are not appropriate.

I am open to options using SharePoint or something for the portal but I wonder if anyone has any solutions to this problem.

Eventually, I would like to add a pdf to someone's file and email them to say that a new document is available for them in the portal but right now they see everything so I have to store PDF and word documents outside of dynamics and only the ones i want them to see inside the files tab.

Thanks, everyone,

Matthu

I am wondering if i could use the view selector to decide what is being shown. The default view for the subgrid is "All sharepoints documents" does anyone know where I would go to find this view and look at the other options available iof I were to create a customer view. Where the list is filtered by document and a label or something?

    Hey @matthu

I don't have a direct answer for this as I don't have a trial to test the Dynamics file. But try setting up the table permissions for the Dynamics file scope to only "contacts" instead of Global.

With regards to SharePoint integration, you can try the above-suggested method.

    The best person to answer this is @hardikv , @OliverRodrigues @OOlashyn @chleverenz.

    Hope it helps.
