Cannot match DateTime value with DateTime in application

Hello everyone,

I am struggling with the following:

In Dataverse I have a column named 'Appointment Start' which is a DateTime column in the format 12/22/2022 5:00 AM.

In PowerApps I have this with the ThisItem showing:

Gnashy_1-1671563749767.png

Gnashy_2-1671563770689.png

In the gallery I have:

DataVerseList: Filter(DataVerseList1,'Appointment Start' = date)

To LookUp an appointment on a specific date:

LookUp(ThisItem.DataVerseList, 'Appointment Start' = 'Appointment Start').Name

Even though I have records in Dataverse that should appear, nothing does. I have tried the DateValue function, but with no luck.

What am I missing here?

    Hi @Anonymous goes the LookUp occur in the gallery itself?

    If so, could you try this code:

    LookUp(DataVerseList, ThisItem.'Appointment Start' = 'Appointment Start').Name

     Edits made: Removed ThisItem from DataVerseList, Added ThisItem. before one of the appointment Start.

    If this solves your question, would you be so kind as to accept it as a solution.

    Thanks!

    I have tried this: LookUp('Employee Calendars', ThisItem.date = 'Appointment Start').Name with zero luck.

    This is part of the formula in my gallery (not entirely pasted since its a large formula, but only import piece):

    With(
     {

     DataVerseList1: 'Employee Calendars'
     },
     Filter(
     ForAll(
     Sequence(
     DateDiff(
     firstDayOfCalendar,
     lastDayOfCalendar
     ) + 1
     ) As Seq,
     With(
     {date: firstDayOfCalendar + Seq.Value - 1},
     {
     date: date
     ,
     DataVerseList: Filter(
     DataVerseList1,
     'Appointment Start' = date
     ),

     }
     )
     )

    @Anonymous when comparing DateTime values, the time also has to be exactly the same.

    If you just want to know what appointments occur during that day, could you give DateValue a try:

    DateValue('Appointment Start') = DateValue(date)
