I would like to post above post in this community.

Not sure which version of sharepoint, it is just workplace sharepoint. It is Office 365.

Is it possible to create work flow for case/task tracking via Sharepoint?

Basically, the work flow is something like that (example): An employee John submits case/task, then Mike can approve/deny the case request, if approved, then assign case/task to Jennifer. When Jennifer completes the case/task, she can update the status.

For every step of work flow, the email should be automatically sent to anyone involved. It is even better if people can communicate with other persons, and attach files, within the case, something like message board.

Is it possible to do something in sharepoint? If not, which microsoft product is good for work flow design?

Our daily job activities are done in Citrix vietual desktop environment, more information, please refer to post in above link.

You can do this with Power Automate. Start the flow using an approval template

    SharonS_0-1719266291476.png

After you get the template opened, add a new step "Send an Email (V2) after "When a new Item is created" to send an email to "anyone involved"

Don't change any steps in the template.

In the Yes Condition after the approval, right after the step that sends an email to the requestor, add another step to send an email to "Jennifer."  In the body of "Jennifer's" email you will ask her to update the status to "Completed."  This will be a choice column in your list.  You will provide a link ("link to item" ) that is in Dynamic Content in the body of the email to Jennifer.  Right after that email step, you will add another step.  It will be a condition.  The condition is when Status column is equal to "Completed"  or Status is equal to "in process," "Send email (V2)" to "anyone involved"  In the body of that email you will say:

The status of "title" [this would be from Dynamic Content] is "status" [this would be pulled from Dynamic Content].

That will be the status that Jennifer inputs for the task.

You will need a second flow (automated flow) that sends an email to "anyone involved" on that list when the status column is updated.
