Create Custom form from MS List source

I want to use a List with 10 columns. I to build a form using it as a data source but Power Apps has limited form control limited to only 7 columns and mobile screen. Do I need to move my data source into a SQL environment to build a real form? FYI, I have the full version of Power Apps but is not a professional application to build a real data base. Any ideas? or do I need to create something outside the Microsoft environment.

The out of the box Power Apps has limited for control not suitable to build a pro relational database. For example, you cannot add fields from a table to a form in PA like you can in Access. But I should have provided more detail. Yes, PA forms can be customized with HTML and CSS coding, but my citizen team users don't have those coding skills, so I am looking for a no code solution to build forms the way to you can in Access using multiple tables. Is there Microsoft product other than MS Forms that you can recommend to build forms?

@Braid102Power Apps as part of the Power Platform is the tool for a professional relational database. And especially suitable for citizen developers. This database is called Dataverse.

I still don't get the fact that you are saying the amount of controls on a form is limited to 7...

What I mean by form controls is creating a form that
1) is not contained to a mobile screen size
2) it can add an adjacent form to add more fields
Like the Access example here.

I tried Dataverse. It would be a great solution if I had more from customization as the example shows. I see very little evidence that Power Platform can create professional relational databases. I guess the only tool for this is Access. Maybe someday, Microsoft will figure out to how migrate it into a cloud app.

Anyway, thanks for your replies. Until Microsoft figures out how to build modern cloud apps, I'll look into Caspio or Airtable or some other solution.

I will throw my small contribution in here - Power Apps will work with a number of data sources, including SharePoint (which is included at no extra cost in a standard licence) up to AzureSQL, which needs a Premium licence, but is certainly a powerful relational database. You can also put as many controls on a screen that your font size and readability on the particular device allow (so I am not sure where 7 came from) and you could certainly create the screen you posted in Power Apps. Access (which was my past "weapon of choice" before Power Apps) I am sure will be retired sometime soon. As for capability, I have not found anything I could not write with SharePoint.

Thanks for the input but Power Apps cannot build the type of Access form example I posted here. I just confirmed this with Microsoft tech support and sales. They said this can only be achieved, to some degree, by coding, which is out of reach for my users. As you well know, Access provides relatively easy ways to create forms and subforms. Power Apps does not have this capability, so I am not sure why you say it does.

We will have to agree to disagree - I am sure that a combination of galleries, forms and controls could duplicate that screens functionality, although if you are expecting the average user to code it, it is a bit the same as Access and not really possible.

Agreed on the disagreement. Yes, Power Apps can allow citizen users to build simple apps, but the Power/Dataverse Platform requires IT people to code anything resembling a real database. It doesn't even come close to Access that doesn't require deep IT expertise.

A Microsoft salesperson told me that there may be a cloud version of Access in the future. I am keeping my fingers crossed for that.
