Using Two SharePoint Lists and copying Image from one to another - Approval App

I am working on an approval app.

I have two SharePoints Lists 1. Details 2. Admin Users

I have a screen with a form and an approve button. The form contains all of the information for a particular record from the Details SharePoint list.

There are two columns in the Admin Users SharePoint list. 1. Full Name (text) 2. Signature (Image)

I want to add functionality to the approve button so that when pressed, the App finds the user from the Admin Users SharePoint list, copies the image of their signature, and saves it in the Detail SharePoint list's 'Approver Signature' column.

How do I go about doing this?

    Hi @Zypher359 ,

Do you mean take the current login account as the approver?

How do you set the Item of the Form? "Gallery.Selected" or a variable?

I am assuming that you are using "Gallery.Selected" and Image column, please try this:

    OnSelect of approve button:
    Patch(Details,LookUp(Details,ID=Gallery.Selected.ID),{ImageColumn1:LookUp('Admin Users',Lower(User().FullName)=Lower('Full Name'),ImageColumn2})

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

I have previously configured a function to restrict access to that particular screen of the application to approvers who are members of the Admin Users SharePoint list. The current user is listed as the approver. The approver's Full Name and Signature will therefore be included on the SharePoint list of Admin Users.

The Item field on the form is indeed set to Gallery.Selected, with Deatils SharePoint list as the data source.

In the same Details form where I added the 'Approver Signature' field, I am uncertain as to what you mean by the 'Image column'. Do you mean to specify that?

    Hi @Zypher359 ,

Image column is a column type. I would like to confirm the type of your column.

Have you tried the formula? Is there any problem?

    Understood.

I have tried the code mentioned, however the image of the signature doesn't copy from the Admin User SharePoint list over into the column of Details SharePoint list, it remains blank.

I also get a delegation warning:

Are there any changes we can make?

    Hi @Zypher359 ,

The Lower function changes the string to lowercase format, which is to prevent empty result which is caused by format of the username stored in your list is different form "User(). Email", if they are in the same format you can remove the Lower() function in the formula to clear the warning.

Please check that the columns in both tables are image-type. I'd love if you could provide some screenshots so I can check where the error is coming from.

    Thank @v-mengmli-msft

I have found the issue, I removed the lower function and there was ')' missing from the end of ImageColumn2.

However, now, when I click on approve, I receive this error:

    Any Idea to remove this?

I can confirm both columns are Image columns:

    1. 'Signature' in Admin Users SharePoint List

    2. 'Approver Signature' in Details SharePoint List

    Hi @Zypher359 ,

Please check table name and column name.

Please replace name in my formula with yours.
