Hi, I am extremely new to PowerApps, I been working through it. So far so good. but recently I am dealing with a Issue. I can't Search a Column which Contain Number and letters Mixed. Column is like "Passport' Number in my Data Source. Please Help me. I need urgent guidance for this matter.
Hi @Haik101 ,
Please supply your code (in Text) you are using
Hi, currently Im using;Search('Referral Information',TextSearchBox1.Text,"{Name}")
these are the Columns I am using, I wanna Search by Name"last, Middle and first"(all those names are mentioned in one colum) and ID number
and sort the list by last entered date.
it seems really simple but I been working on it for over a month and I couldn't figure it out. someone please help me.:(
@Haik101 ,
Why do you have Name in {} brackets - is that the actual name ? If not and you are referring to the last modified date for the Sort
Search( Sort( 'Referral Information', Modified, Descending ), TextSearchBox1.Text, "Name" )
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

It seems to work flawlessly. I used Brackets, cuz it was suggested in the pop out. 😛 trust me I did not know what I was doing. can you write the formula to be searched by "ID Number" column too.?I wanna search both by ID number and the name. it would be really helpful. Thank you.
A bit more complex as it is a number
Search( AddColumns( Sort( 'Referral Information', Modified, Descending ), "IDTxt", Text(ID) ), TextSearchBox1.Text, "Name", "IDTxt" )
when it type "name" at the end, its showing an error. But when I type "{FilenameWithExtension}" im getting data on my table. and is able to search via any name eg; last name, first name and middle name. which is what i wanted. only thing missing is searching by ID number
That is a Delegation warning, not an error and you obviously have a Library there (not a List) as both Searches and filters on the file name are not Delegable (the Name is the file name, not a person's name, so first and middle simply do not apply). I have answered your question (which was different to what you initially posted), plus another on the ID search - if you have further queries, please post a new thread detailing what it is you need to do.
