This app has been running for several months without issues, but recently errors have been noticed.
Why did the app that was running fine before start showing errors without any updates?

So usually when this happens there is a change somewhere (i know i know every single person says no change but there is).

1. Did the data change that drives the ui

2. Is this user no longer in the system, did the email change or upn

When you just see random errors, that means something else, somewhere else is broken. Please go to the Versions screen and check out versions and share the list here so we can verify the last time it was published (aka changed).

Also is this in Dev/Test/Prod???

From the perspective of the code, and without seeing the full code, you tried to find a person and it failed, it didn't "break" it says the person doesn't exist.

So in Dev/Test does it still work or just prod being odd. Also has this person ever used the app before and if so when. Have them test in Dev/Test

Also, you can try rolling back to a previous version to see if that resolves it.
