Require a text input match before submission

Good morning,
I'm having an issue with one part of my statement. Prior to submission, i require one textinput within the edit form to contain one value or the other, however my current code isnt working. Thanks

Hi @Dorset_Steve,

If you want to check if the text_xxx_5 contains x, you should modify your formula as below:

IsMatch(text_xxx_5.Text, "x" ,MatchOptions.Contains)

Further, not sure why you add a "" with the "x", comapring the text_xxx_5 with "x" and "" at the same time?

What's more, there is no need to list the Blank() and "" at the same time if you want to compare the blank string with the dropdown selected value in this situation.

It should be either an 'x' or blank.

If so, in power apps, you need to compare it one by one:

IsMatch(text_xxx_5.Text, "x" ,MatchOptions.Contains)||IsMatch(text_xxx_5.Text, "" ,MatchOptions.Contains)
