Dropdown list value is blank when opening existing item with PowerApps

Hi I'm fairly new to PowerApps.

I customized a SharePoint List form using PowerApps. Everything works well with new item submission/creation. The only problem I ran into is when I'm going back to edit an existing item. The choices fields did not display/pull the previously picked value while the other field types (i.e. multiline text, people, etc.) shows the previous value.

I need help. Thank you in advance.

What is in the Default property (if using a dropdown control) or DefaultSelectedItems if using combobox?

Like @Digital, I'm also concerned about the Default property.

I tried it myself and it worked fine.

The Default property was empty.

Here's what happen when I tried to edit the existing item. The rationale, Attachment, etc. all seems to show the previous entered data. While the choice/dropdown/radio fields are empty.

That is the Items property. In the same dropdown in the menu bar that displays the word Items, select Default. This will show you what the default selection for the control should be. It is likely to say Parent.Default. If that is the case please check what is in the Default property of the Form Card (BankingGroup_Datacard1).

Thanks @Digital for helping. I attached the screenshots for both Default property of the Form Card and the radio. The radio shows default = "", while BankingGroup_Datacard1 form card is Daulft = ThisItem.'Banking Group'.

Change the default property of RadioBankingGroup to Parent.Default

What does the error message say? That should give us some indication of the problem. Thanks

It says it expected text value. Not sure what that means since that field on the SharePoint list was defined as a choice field.
Also, that blank issue happens to all the choice fields on the form.
