Hello,
I'm new to Power Apps. I inserted a Rating control in the EditForm, and I need to submit this form to SharePoint List. The type of the column is "number" in the SharePoint List.
I have no idea how can I update this value. There are errors in the Update and Default properties of the DataCard.

The error is related to unexpected data type, please check data type of the data card. The linked column of the data card should be number.

Your formula works fine in my test. There is a possibility is that you had changed the type, but you haven't refreshed the SP connection, the App still recognizes the column as another type instead of number column.
Yes, it's a number column. I also refreshed the SP List and connection in Power Apps.
i have tested this and working fine for me
try one thing remove this card from your form and re-add it again
