Hello Again!
I have a form where I want to look up existing records.
The form is set to Edit mode.
I am able to do a search and select the record I want to edit but the form fields dont change to show the related data.
What am I missing?

Is it that you want the entire form to use the selected record to edit, or is it that you want the fields in the form for an existing or new record to change to reflect information from the chosen record in the dropdown/combo?

Right now the form reflects the first record in the list but when I choose a record from the lookup, the form doesnt refresh to show the selected record data.

    @golfnutt82

So the question though is this (and sorry a little confused by the picture), if the form that you have editing the record that is selected in that dropdown?  OR, is the selection in the dropdown to pre-populate the values in the form?

Perhaps better asked as this - What is the DataSource of your form and what is the DataSource of the Combobox?

I apologize for the unclear picture and explanation.
I have a list of data and this form points to that list.
I need to be able to enter something in the search box that will help filter the "Choose Role" lookup.
When I select the role from the lookup it should pull any data from the list and show on the form.

    We're getting there...

The remaining question is still - is the Choose Role pulling data from another list or is it the same as the form datasource?

And, is that combobox IN your form?  And if so...why?

Same list and "Choose Role" is the combo box. The combo box is being filtered by "Filter Roles" filter.
I will also add some filtering on the list at some point that only show active roles.

Am I asking too much from a single Power App form?
Maybe having two forms on one screen? One form where I do the filtering and chosing which updates the second form showing the data from the selected record ID from the lookup field?

    Hi Randy,
I hope this clears things up.
I created a new Edit form and I put the custom controls on the form.
    1. The "Text Filter" filters the dropdown box
    2. The user selects the Role from the filtered values
    3. The form refreshes based on the selection.
