Is there a formula that would allow me to convert a Record into Text?
I'd like to assign the value of the selected item in a DropDown control to a Text Input, as shown below.
@mobilismexico - just type . after Selected and that will show you what options you have. Usually it's ....Selected.Value
(caveat: this depends on the structure of the dat which feeds the items property of your dropdown..)

Items come from a Single Line Text column. I get an error that says that 'Value' is not recognized.
I didn't read the documentation. As soon as I saw SelectedText (deprecated) I ignored the following line, which included the answer:
SelectedText (Deprecated) – A string value that represents the selected item. Use Dropdown1.SelectedText.Value instead, replacing "Dropdown1" with drop-down control name in the app.
