when I have an expression in my flow and try to update it I click on the pink box and can see the code on the right. I then edit the code and hit "Update" and flow does actually loses all the edits I've made. very frustrating. What is the correct way of updating an expression?

I have the same question (0)

    Hey @Maexchen

I have been through this more times than I could remember. This is what always worked for me though:

Once you update the expression, bring the cursor to the end of the expression and then click on update. Hover over the expression in the action and check if it has been updated then.

BTW, it is always good to select the entire thing and copy it before hitting the update button.

    Hope this Helps!

thanks, I thought I was stupid. I also taught myself to copy the whole expression before I hit anything.

Seems like it's a bug in flow itself then.

    Hey @Maexchen

Yeah and you will notice that if you update the expression more than 5-6 times on a component, you will face issues and it won't update any how (you then have to delete the action and re-add it) But there is no specific reason behind this. It could happen due to a flow issue or a caching issue etc.

    Hope this Helps!
