Open Fillable PDF in SharePoint folder, complete then save

Hello all,

 

I am creating a PowerApp for my HR department as an onboarding tool, that allows new employees to fill out their onboarding documents (example I-9 Tax Form, Direct Deposit Form)

Launch("https....") does open this form in the web browser and allows the user to fill it out BUT only allows them to print it. I need them to be able to just save it back to its original SharePoint folder.

 

Is there a way to do that?

 

I then thought maybe I can call adobe reader on the PC and send the file location and have them fill out there then save but I am at a loss any thoughts would be appreciated

    You will not be able to achieve this in PowerApps as, once you launch the PDF, it is now outside of PowerApps and the App will no longer have control of it.

    There is also no ability to Fill in a PDF in PowerApps.

     

    Although it appears that you are trying to just have the form filled in and saved at a specific place, and that you are not collecting or storing the information entered, my video on Forms might be of some interest to you.

    It's a long video, but the link above takes you to to the beginning of the section in the video where I begin to discuss using PowerApps and Forms to complete W4 forms in a "PDF Fillable" type style.

    It might still be of interest to watch.  Doesn't solve the issue you initially mentioned, but there is no real solution for that in PowerApps.

    I wound up adding a link to the users profile for their specific Docusign envelop and and using that to capture the information
