How to link condition to already existing question

Posted on by

Hi all, new PVA user here and I'm feeling a little lost. I'm creating a basic Y/N Q&A. A few layers of Y/N answers in, how do I link a condition to a question that was already created earlier in the decision tree?

@HenryJammes Thank you, this is exactly what I was missing!

    Hi @RobertMatthew1,

In the unified authoring canvas, have you tried the "Go to step" action to achieve something similar?

I'm trying to do this in the new test version, but the way steps are set out is looking a lot different to how it is outlined above (which I am used to in an existing bot I run). I no longer seem get the option to connect outputs to messages used by another output by clicking and dragging - am I missing something?

If you want to link the output from any step to the input of another, click on the output step's (+) and when it offers you choices for creating a new step, hover over the circle top centre of the choices until it turns purple.

If you're working with a step where the output is already linked to another step, hover over the connection to the other step until it turns purple.

Click on the purple circle and drag it to the input of the step you want to link it to.

If the other step is off the visible page, drag the purple circle to the edge of the canvas (but not outside it) and wait there - the PVA editor should scroll the canvas in the direction you want to go.
