I am just stepping into the Power Platform and am excited about the possibility it might have for my legal practice. A key unmet need for me is to make data available that is housed in large pdfs of both structured and unstructured data. This client pdf file is a collection of government generated printed and structured forms, as well a government forms that have been completed by hand, as well as medical records from a variety of treating sources. In walking through the AI builder wizard, and seeing that you can tag your fields in a training collection of documents, it feels like this is no more than simple mapping of data. But perhaps I miss an important point. Lets take one vexing part of my daty to day problems in organizing these medical records. It would be very beneficial for me to break this records up based upon date of the visit. For example, I can see how often the client sees Dr. X, and I find gaps in medical treatment, and I can know on what date my client had that important lumbar MRI. So in processing a batch of medical records, I want to know what the treatment date for a given page in a medical record is. All these medical records are electronic of course, and are generated by different medical record systems and have different nonenclature. So an Epic system record might say "Date of Visit: 00/00/0000" at the top right hand corner, and mark the spillover page for that visit date as "Date of Visit: 00/00/0000, cont." One system treats a muli-page note for a given visit with a (Page 1 of x) where that visit note is x pages long.
Here's my point. Let's say I go through my set of training docs with a set of medical records from different sources. I make my field "VisitDate". I find "Date of Visit: 00/00/0000" in one record set and I tag it. I find "Visit Date: 00/00/00" in another collection and I mark it also. I am assuming AI Builder will harvest both as "VisitDate", right?.
But what if in actual use "in the field" of my trained Builder I encounter medical records that denote a visit date as "Patient visit: ", " Appointment Date" or "Date of Service", etc. Will AI Builder pick that up? I realize no one can tell me for sure, but what I am asking is this: is it reasonable that kind of "artificial intelligence" - to pick up different ways of referring to the date of the appointment - as what AI Builder is all about?
