Notes Popup

Hello,

Sorry if there is an obvious answer, I'm new to the world of creating power apps.

I'm attempting to create a pop up within my app that holds notes, I would want this to be linked to my data source so it shows existing notes but then the ability to both amend and add new notes.

I had the idea of using the ThisItem function and linking it to my TextInput, the problem is that it isn't appearing as an option. Is this because the text input isn't sitting within a gallery and also i found with gallery's they are all multiple rows whereas i would just want a single input.

any help is very much appreciated!

Thank you

Chris

    HI @Appy1 ,
You can use - GalleryName.Selected.Notes to fetch the data of Notes column in your TextInput.

    Hi @NandiniBhagya20 ,

May i ask you a further question on how I could link this Text Input to my data source.
I used the patch function on my other text inputs in my gallery within 'on change'.
The same function doesn't seem to work for this one i have just added, am i getting the syntax wrong?

    Patch(Improvement,ThisItem,{Notes:TextInput2.Text})

    Thanks!!

    Chris

    Hi @Appy1 ,

    Try using below formula -

    Patch(Improvement,GalleryName.Selected,{Notes:TextInput2.Text})
