Approval Flow Failed Today at 28 May 2019

Hi All,

All my workflows, including the existing flows that have been working previously, failed with Error code 500 when hitting to “Start an Approval”.

Microsoft template workflow also failed without making any changes from my end. I am from Singapore region. Below is failed error message from one of my flows.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi @joe_ihlsg,

You might want to delete the existing "Approvals" connection and create a new one and try again. This usually works.

As @yashag2255 has suggested, this is likely a connection related issue.

Before doing anything else, please try to resubmit (click on Resubmit as seen in your screen shot).

Do you have any messages related to broken connections?

You may want to click on the gear at the top right of the Flow site and select Connections. The Approvals connection should be first or at least near the top. Does it give any indication that there is an issue? If so, do you see a link that is labeled fix? You'll want to try this first.

Hi,
Thanks for your all suggestions.
1. I did resubmit. Recieved error as below screensshot.

2. I deleted exisitng flow and recreated, but still having the same issue - 500 Internal Error.

3. In addition to above, I created a very simple approval connector from Workflow template. I used "Start approval when a new item is created" flow without making any changes/addition. Still having the same error.

Just want to share that I found the solution.

Microsoft disconnected Common Data Services at their end a couple weeks ago. That's why Approval connector failed to work. To solve the issue, your O365 global admin needs to create a database at your tenant site. That will solve this issue.
