Adding multiple comments to the same record (I think)

Hello everyone, I was hoping someone could help please

 

I have a Sharepoint list that is used by two different departments. Team 1 and Team 2 for arguments sake.

Both teams work on the same product and I have an app featuring a comment box aligned to a product that patches to Sharepoint. 

 

The issue I have , is how can I get the app to patch Team 1 comments AND team 2 comments ( not overwriting) against the same product please?

 

Any ideas?

    before the patch refresh/clearcolelct datasource to be sure the data you are using is most recent, then concatenate the current users comments with any comments that already exists, as well as the name of team doing current submission. Will leave you with a record of every comment added, and who added it, can also toss date & time in for even more accurate tracking later of the comments
