Approval : how to select dynamically approvers in a flow ?

Hello,

I have a Microsoft Forms in which I have different subjects (end user must select the main subject of the form to answer dedicated questions), all answers are stored in a dedicated list (1 list per main subject) and  i have approvers by region :
- Topic Name: Sharepoint, Yammer, Twitter
- Region Name: Global, North America, South America, Europe

I have an flow with (trigger = a new form sublission) a lot of switches per main subject in order to choose the right approver per region according to the main subject selected and it is very hard and complicated to do so.

What is the best simple solution (I'm a newbie with Power Automate) to dynamically select dedicated approvers based on selected main topic and selected region made by end user so as not to create a lot of conditions in my flow ?

I think a dedicated list of approvers would be great (like the screenshot beside) but how could I use it? (the variable seems to be complicated for me at this stage)

    Dear doublenico79,

Considering your extended list of variations, use of a variable would be my first idea.

Use of variable is not very complicated, just give it a try!

In order for you to test if this at all works, I suggest that you create a test-flow in which you first initialize a variable with a default value of an email/user. And then refer to that variable in the approval action. View example below.

Once you are familiar with that, play around with the 'Set variable' action. Herein you set the appropriate email depending on the input you receive via the form.

    Hope this helps, happy flowing,

    Koen
