Power Apps premium license needed?

Hi,

Hopefully I've put this in the right place.

I built a Power app which was working fine on the standard Microsoft 365 license. However I then added in a Power BI Tile (I have a pro license for Power BI) and since then the app has stopped allow me to access it other than the test screen within Power Apps itself, saying there are "premium features".

I removed the Power BI tiles to see if that's what was causing it but its still saying I need a premium license.

I have checked everything in the apps and can't find anything with a Diamond symbol so I am unsure why I need a premium license? Is there a max file size the app can be?

Many Thanks in advance.

    Hi @SteHuhta24

Is there still a PowerBI1 tile on your MF2ReportScn screen? If so, does removing it help?

Also, you probably need to republish your app for the licensing status to change.

Another thing to check is that you don't have any Flows in your app that trigger actions with premium connectors.

In some extreme cases, an app can become corrupt. There are some details in the post here.

    Hi @timl ,

Thanks for your reply - I just restored the version with the Power BI tiles in it again as removing them didn't solve the issue. I will try again in case I missed something.

Is the power BI tile a premium feature though? It doesn't have the diamond icon beside it? Or is connecting to a Power BI dashboard a premium connection?

    Hi @SteHuhta24

The Power BI tile shouldn't be a premium feature. I've just added a PowerBI tile, connected to a workspace, and I can confirm my app is still designated as a 'standard' app.

I just suggested removing it as that appears to be the root cause of the problem for you.

The data source in your app is standard. If you're certain there aren't any other premium controls or flows that call premium connectors in your app, I'd start to explore the solution that's posted in this post.

    Thanks @timl,

I'll have a look through this and see If I can get anywhere with it.

    Thanks again for the help.
