Attachment Form not saving collection of Attachments

I have a collection of attachments and an edit form with only the attachment control in it. The datacard's update property is set to the attachment control.attachments and the attachment control's items property is set to col_Attachments (my attachments collection). The attachment values show clearly in the attachment control; however, when I go to submit the form, none of the attachments save to my list item. The only way I've had success saving an attachment to my list is if I manually click to 'add an attachment' and upload one to the attachment control. What I want is no user interaction, it should just be uploading whatever attachment values are in the collection.

Also for reference, I'm using the same concept as this - https://www.practicalpowerapps.com/images/attachcameraphotos/
except, like I mentioned there is no user interaction in adding the attachments. The collection of attachments is prepopulated when the user lands on the screen.

    Hi @bri22 ,

    That is my blog and what you are doing is a totally different process, so the first question is how are you getting the content of your Collection ?

    Yes, you're right it is a different process; but, I couldn't find anything and your blog was probably the closest thing I could find to what I'm trying to accomplish.

    Anyway below is the code I use to gather the attachments collection on the Onvisible property of the screen

    Clear(col_Attachments);
    ForAll(
     LookUp(
     Transactions,
     var_ProjID = 'Request ID'
     ).Attachments,
     Collect(
     col_Attachments,
     ThisRecord
     )
    );

    Hi @bri22 ,

    The fundamental issue is that when you retrieve attachment fields directly from your data source with a Lookup query as you have, the actual file content is not in the format required (blob) to use in an attachment control. If you are going to use a Collection, it needs to refer to the attachment control itself which is "pointed" directly at the attachment field.

    I am not sure that resolves the issue, but you cannot achieve your outcome with the process you are using.
