Powerapps and flow : excel business online connector

Hi guys,

I would like in powerapps to run a flow and pass to him an ID parameter. The flow must look into an excel file stored on SharePoint if the ID exist and if yes he must return to powerapps the response.

Except me, users only have the O365 standard power apps and flow licences.

My question is, if from Power apps i run a flow that use excel online business connector, does my users will have problems to use that connector? Excel online business connector is a premium.

Your users will need to have the appropriate license, to create the/use the connection references in your Canvas app and/or Flow.

In your scenario, although it is not explicitly in the Canvas app - which the user is using - the premium connection in the Flow will be 'used' by the user when the Flow run occurs. Whenever they try to run the Canvas app the first time, it will prompt them to establish a connection of the premium connector and the licensing constraint will kick in.

Otherwise, it would be easy to license premium connectors on a single user and then delegate all access through a single user.

How can we change the caller context?
If a user in powerapps do the action to run the flow, I would like to execute the flow with a specific account that contain premium licence.

You can explore invoking the Flow indirectly, like have it trigger on the update of a row or insert or a record. For the example, non-licensed user can create a SP row, and then the licensed user's Flow can run and update the same row.

Thiswill end up being asynchronous.

You can still poll/check the record created by non-licensed user, to see what it returns.

hi there will it be an option to use the library and store the ID in the list, this way your users query the SP list and not the excel document?

This scenario is not possible.
In my case, i have to retrieve multiple values on an excel table based with an ID.

So, in my case i have a form in create mode. When I fill in the ID value on a field, I run a flow that look into an excel file if the row with this ID exist, and if yes, I get values of different columns of the same row and put it on concerned fields of my form. This phase must be at onchange event of ID field.

Then i save the form to create a record on an sp list.
