I have Azure SQL DB and trying to create connection "SQL Server" .

Selected the SQL server authentication , entered server , credentials details. But create button is not enabled .

It is asking for the gateway .

For Azure SQL , we do not need the gateway. But not sure why I'm not able to create the connector . I looked into all the videos and forums. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @Mey_PP Prerequisites for SQL connection:

    1. Gather the following information for a database that contains at least one table with a primary key:
      • the name of the database
      • the name of the server on which the database is hosted
      • a valid user name and password to connect to the database
      • the type of authentication needed to connect to the database
    2. If you don't have this information, ask the administrator of the database that you want to use.
    3. For an on-premises database, identify a data gateway that was shared with you (or create one).

Hope you have followed above Prerequisites ?

Hi @Mey_PP ,  Gateway information is only require when you are using On-Premises instance. Could you confirm which SQL you are using, I mean :

If it is Paas then gateway is not required, however I suspect that you have SQL installed on some VM. The 3rd option (Iaas).
