So my understanding of how this works may be wrong, so I apologize.

I have two SPO lists, Assignments and Engineers. Engineers never really changes. We enter in case assignments into the Assignments list.

I created a dataflow that grabs the two SPO Lists, does some data transformation, and the final result is a table.

See first pic.

I have two issues. During the data transform, and as you can see in the pic, there are two rows of data.

When I open the table, it is showing me this weird output of records 1000, 1001. But I dont see any data.

I did an export to excel, and it was blank.

I was expecting the table to be updated each time the Power Query is refreshed? But I dont see any data.

The other issue and main one, is I wanted to connect to this table, with PowerBi, to create a report. I have not been able to find where I can do this. Can someone walk me through creating a workspace so that I can create a published report based on the Power App Dataflow?

I am creating this with my service account. both my service account and my main corp account have access to the environment this is made in.

however your first step is to download and install power bi desktop:

use this to connect to the Sharepoint Lists as datasources.

then transform the data / data model using power query in power bi desktop app.

then you start to build your report using the visuals on the right. you can publish your work and the dataset created to a workspace you create or into your my workspace.

the dataflow part is an unnecessary complication

none of these steps require an app or dataflow. You just go straight into Power bi desktop, connect the list, transform the data, build the report and then publish. 🙂
