Filtering Gallery with Check box data

Hi All,

I am using Sharepoint as backend and my checkbox column is defined as Choice column and display choice as Checkbox. In Powerapps front end, i have used Gallery to bring checkbox structure.

My checkbox column name is "CheckBox_Item". I need formula to use in Item property of gallery.

I have tried the below options:

Mapped selected checkbox data to combo box and used below formula

Filter(DRIM_Record, CheckBox_Item in ComboBox4.SelectedItems)

It is giving an error. Could anyone please suggest the direct formula to filter selected check box data

    There are 2 ways I can think of doing this.

    1 - If you are only using the SharePoint List for the purpose of the App then don't make it a Choice type column in SP. But rather make it a Text field in SP and manage all the Choice control in the Power App directly.

    or

    2 - Use Power Automate to retrieve the Choice values from SharePoint. Her is video that could help. SharePoint HTTP Action add Choice Value with Power Automate - YouTube

    @365-Assist  Thanks for your response.

    I am trying this for existing application. Hence i couldn't change the data type to Text.

    I can able to retrieve Choice column (checkbox) data to Powerapps and able to fetch it into Checkbox or Combo box in Powerapps front end. Facing issues when displaying the selected values in to Gallery. Could you please help?

    Ok here is another way you could do it.

    1 - Create a Collection to store the choice options from SP. (Best in the App- OnStart)

    365Assist_0-1657172824986.png

    ClearCollect(colChoices,Choices('Demo List'.'Multi Choice').Value)

    2 - In the Gallery use the Index function to refer to each collection record

    First Option

    Index(colChoices,1).Value

    Second Option

    Index(colChoices,2).Value

    Hi @suriyamv07 ,

    I will give you a structure here - you have a many-to-many relationship and one of the perils of your combo box workaround is that the system was never really designed for this - however this structure will query the data source

    With(
     {
     wChoices:
     Filter(
     YourCheckBoxGallery.AllItems,
     YourCheckboxName.Value
     )
     },
     Ungroup(
     ForAll(
     wChoices,
     Filter(
     'Demo List',
     Value in 'Multi Choice'.Value
     )
     ),
     "Value"
     )
    )

    @WarrenBelz Thanks for the followup. I can able to get the expected results using collection and Index concept.

    @suriyamv07 ,

    Yes, that works too - I try to avoid having collections and variables "hanging around" after they are needed (even if they are empty), hence the "all in one" structure"
