How to Increase Index Columns on a SharePoint Library

HI there

 

I am currently creating a power app that feeds info to a SP Library which holds over 100,000 documents. I would like to know if these documents are contained within a folder will they still contribute to the Item limit when in folder view?

 

The other issue would be I would have around 8,000 folder's and would like to know how to get around the 5000 limit issue. Has anyone else experienced this problem.

    Hi,

     

    The Item limit is 30 million as per our documentation below; Your entire 100,000 items should contribute towards that limit. However the 5000 list view limit is hard coded into the environment. Potentially there are ways around it such as loading items in batches but if you are going to be trying to return 100,000 items into a flow it is going to slow it down tremendously.

    To answer my own question having items in a folder don't make a difference as the folder is counted as 1 item and the document 1 item.

    What I did find is that if you group your items that will help load items a lot quicker.
