Copy file from one Document Library to another Document Library via button

Hi,

I have a rather simple problem, but as I am very new to the entire Power Apps-world I can't seem to get it to work properly.

I have a file gallery based on an empty Vertical Gallery. It correctly shows the three demo-files I have.

I then added a checkbox to the first file in the list, and it gets put on all the other rows as well.

Now I want to add a button which copies the selected files from Sharepoint A to Sharepoint B.

This is where I get no further.

I guess I somehow must collect the document id's, send them to a flow (maybe) which in turn copies the files... But I have no idea how to send these id's to the flow.

    Hi @johanSpanberg,

Do you want to copy file from one document library to another document library or another new site?

Could you please share a bit more about your need?

If you want to copy from one SharePoint site A to another SharePoint site B, I am afraid that there is no way to achieve this whatever you use Power Apps or Power Automate.

If you just want to copy a file from one library to another library within a same SharePoint site, you must have a trigger like when a file is modified or created to fire the flow to copy the file. Tick the Checkbox to copy file could not help you achieve this in Power Apps.

Generally, we will create a flow as below to copy file:

Thanks for your response, I'll try to be a little bit more precise. 🙂

In PowerApps I have built a "file gallery" which shows files that are currently available on a customer card.

Now we need to build a flow that makes a copy of these files in another Document Library on the same Site.

So I want to let the user select the files they want copied, and when they click the button I want the files that they have selected to be copied to the other Document Library.

So somehow I need to start a flow with the button, that can send the file information to the automation flow, which in turn copies the files from document library A to document library B.

    Am I clearer now? 🙂
