Adding new column in Excel from PowerApp

I have developed my first PowerApp where I am fetching data from Excel(5*3 matrix). I am further updating the data in Excel through Forms feature. Now I want to add a new column(making it 5*4) in Excel (data source). 

So one method is:

             1) Go to Excel, add the new column and then reconnect the powerapp.

 

Is it possible to add that new column in Excel through PowerApp itself?

    Unfortunately, the answer is no. It's not possible to add columns to an underlying Excel spreadsheet from Power Apps.
