Conditional Check in Forms - Canvas Apps

Dear All,

I am creating a form with the help of a Canvas App.

The field State contains different states of a country.

I want the field City to get activated only when the user selects a specific State.

Kindly refer to my screenshot.

How can I implement the same?

    Hi Roy,

     

    You can apply a condition to your Visible/DisplayMode property of your City control based on the selected item.

     

    That would be something like that

     

    1. Select City control
    2. Look for Visible property (it will be probably set to true)
    3. Replace whatever value is there if the condition below

     

    If(cbState.Selected.SomePropertyOfYourObject = "NY", true, else)

     

    The same logic applies if you want Disable/Enable the field, just look for the property DisplayMode instead and change true or false to the DisplayMode, which is an Enumerator (Disabled, Edit, View).

    Hi
    I dont know the names of the comboboxes so i have made some up:
    I called the state one StateInp

    I called the city one CityInp

     

    change these to the correct names of your comboboxes.

    please go to the City Box and go to displaymode property. in here add:

    If(IsBlank(StateInp.Selected.Value),DisplayMode.Disabled,DisplayMode.Edit)
