Dynamics 365 Marketing in environment with existing portal

Hello all,

I have to install the Dynamics 365 Marketing solution in an environment where we already have a portal created.

Does anyone know what steps must be followed so that the installation is correct and my marketing solution can use the existing portal to work?

Thanks in advance 🙂

Generally it is ok to just install it - the portal that Marketing installs is an Event Portal.  Note:  with the Event Portal whilst the base website etc is as per other portals it is actually constructed in Angular not the standard Liquid based ones you are used to.

I just recommend making a backup of your existing Portals before installing the Event Portals. I've seen a few issues of mixing Portal records after installing the Event Portals

    Thanks for your respose Oliver,

Yes, in the end seeing that it can give problems, I have ended up creating only an environment for the marketing application. So I have the portals completely separated.
