Multi select filter in combo box for multi-choice person/group column

Hi,

I am trying to create a multi-select filter in a combo box for a multi-choice person/group column, having a SP list as database. The code is based on @RezaDorrani's video: https://youtu.be/Wr42PeW6_wU?t=375 (6:15). The idea is to search by email and then filter by people's name based on the result. The code I am using is as follows:

Filter('Drawings', Or(IsBlank(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems), IsEmpty(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems),'Requested by'.DisplayName = Last(FirstN(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems,1)).DisplayName, 'Requested by'.DisplayName = Last(FirstN(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems,2)).DisplayName, 'Requested by'.DisplayName = Last(FirstN(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems,3)).DisplayName))

Unfortunately, I am getting a delegation warning. Any idea how to overcome this issue?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi @rdias1 ,

    This should do three names - just keep adding

    With(
     {
     wName1: First(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems).DisplayName,
     wName2: Index(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems,2).DisplayName,
     wName3: Index(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems,3).DisplayName
     },
     Filter(
     'Drawings',
     CountRows(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems) = 0 ||
     'Requested by'.DisplayName = wName1 ||
     'Requested by'.DisplayName = wName2 ||
     'Requested by'.DisplayName = wName3
     )
    )

    @WarrenBelz the delegation warning still remains. I've made some adjustments to the formula, the Index function does not seem to be working:

    Hi @rdias1 ,

    Not sure why Index is not working - see my test below which also does not have Delegation warnings and produces the expected result

    However I suspect your Delegation issue is because 'Requested by' may be multi-choice, in which case you have a many-to-many relationship which you cannot make Delegable - you need

    If(
     CountRows(FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems) = 0,
     'Drawings Register 2023',
     Ungroup(
     ForAll(
     FilterRequestedby.SelectedItems As aSel,
     Filter(
     'Drawings Register 2023',
     aSel.DisplayName in 'Requested by'.DisplayName
     )
     ),
     "Value"
     )
    )

    Hello @WarrenBelz ,

    That's correct, the 'Requested by' field is multi-choice. Even with your code, I still get the delegation warning:

    I also would like to have this filter with an additional multi-choice person/group field ('Revision requested by'), I'm not sure if this may have an impact on the suggested code.

    Thanks

    Hi @rdias1 ,

    As noted in my post you have a many-to-many relationship which you cannot make Delegable. - that is the best you will do.

    Hi @WarrenBelz,

    What if I change the filters to a single search, instead of multiple? The fields have to remain with the multi-choice option. Is it possible to generate the search without the delegation warning?
