Submiting value to SQL table

I have a label on the form, edit screen. This label is not part of any DataCard. Label gets some data from Sql table, and I would like to submit this data to sql table along with other fields that are in DataCards.

The problem is that I dont know how to bind this data from label to the corrsponding column/field in sql table. I only know a way where you add fields to form from data source, and then DataCard with input is created.

I dont want any input fields, just a label with some text that gets submited to sql table, along with other data from input fields, when user click submit form.

You can use Patch function, rather than SubmitForm. In Patch function you can map the labelvalue with the appropriate SQL Column.

I have actualy just used the value of a label for text box in Datacard(label1.text). And then hidden this datacard.

But will look into patch function nayway.

In this case, I suggest that what you've done here is the best approach.

If you want to append other values from other input fields, you can modify the Update property of your hidden data card to refer to these other input fields.

eg Label1.Text & " " & Textbox1.Text
