Hello Everyone,
I am having an issue with an App I created to maintain a SQL data table that is used in another app. The primary app is to create and communicate requests from manufacturing to one of a couple of raw material warehouses for material items they require to manufacture their products.
The app where i am seeing the issue is intended to maintain a table that holds appropriate data for what material items might be needed in a particular department for completing that department's part of building a particular end item. Users can specify which of that set of items they need and in what quantity. Warehouse staff can record pick activities for those selected items on a particular request.
Sorry for the long-winded intro. Just trying to be clear. The app with the issue allows admins to maintain what items are contained in these lists by adding or removing as needed. The issue is that, when adding a new item, the underlying SQL data is updated by running a Flow that executes a stored procedure. After that happens, there are functions that refresh the data source and reset the gallery that displays the list of selectable items so that the gallery will include the new item. This process works intermittently. I created an icon to do the exact same refresh and reset independently of the Item Add process and this works every time to update the gallery to include the newly added item.
There is a Word document attached to this topic that shows this issue with screen shots of the app that explains this probably more clearly and includes the formulas involved. I am hoping someone can review and shed some light on why the refresh and reset functions work only intermittently in one case and work consistently in the other.
Thanks very much,
Brian Miller
