Send Approval Request Email from team member's account

Hi,

I have a sharepoint list to allow team members to request approvals for purchases on our team credit card. Team members input an item on the SP list and my flow then sends an email to the selected approver.

That works but all emails are being sent from my email account, regardlesssof which team member creates then item.

How do I have the system send an email from the team member's account?

Thanks!

    Hi @Anonymous,

If you want the users to send the emails with their own email account, they will need to create their own flow in their flow site. If you create the flow and share it with users with owner permission, it will only use your  account with all the connectors inside.

You could post this idea in the Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

    Thanks for reply Mona Li.

That's really disappoiting.  As a new user who has invested several days getting to know Flow, this is really frustrating.  I should be able to assign privileges to my team members so the flow becomes "owned" or usable by everyone....just like I do on the Sharepoint site.

Is there anyway for me to have Flow send the email with a "system" address in the To bar?

This happened when I used the "Start Approval" step but it required me to go into Flow (3 -4 clicks) rather than just hitting Accept in email which is by far preferred.

Any suggestions/solutions from wiser heads are greatfully appreciated!

    Mona Li.

Could I not use Team flows to do this?

I am trying to set up something similar.  I have created a Shared Mailbox and all flow emails are generated from that.

    That works fine.

I'm just struggling with true/false boolean conditions to send an email when certain fields have been updated.

I have a similar problem but in my case, I'm retiring soon and my account will be eliminated.  I'm in education and created a flow for teachers, administrators, and transportation to use for field trip requests.  I want to make sure the work is not lost.

I created a service account in AD and made that account a co-owner.  If I now delete my account from sharepoint/flow, will sole ownership transfer to the service account/role based account?  Or will the entire flow be lost?  How about removing the co-ownership and just exporting/importing the flow to the service account?
