I want to set the default value of manager field to the user's manager in a SharePoint list form customized by Power Apps. User and Manager are all Person type column in the SharePoint list.

I tried the formulas like:

Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).displayName

f(!IsBlank(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email),
 Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).displayName,
 ""
)

If(!IsBlank(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email), Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).displayName)

All returns errors. I am new to Power Apps and want to hear suggestions form you experts.

    Hi @New2PA

    Set the DefaultSelectedItems of Manager combobox Property to

    {
     '@odata.type': "#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
     Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).mail,
     Department: "",
     DisplayName: Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).displayName,
     Email: Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue2.Selected.Email).mail,
     JobTitle: "",
     Picture: ""
    }

    Note: DataCardValue2 - User Combobox

    I'm trying to do this also and I must be missing some little something because the above solution does not work for me.

    {
    '@odata.type': "#Microsoft.Azure.Connectors.SharePoint.SPListExpandedUser",
    Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue27.Selected.Email).mail,
    Department: "",
    DisplayName: Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue27.Selected.Email).displayName,
    Email: Office365Users.ManagerV2(DataCardValue27.Selected.Email).mail,
    JobTitle: "",
    Picture: ""
    }

    I put this into a combobox defaulted selected item and I get invalid parameter for id

    Any suggestions?
