When a file is created trigger doesn't work

Hello,

What might be causing the issue when someone adds a file to the library the flow is not triggered, but when I do that it's working correctly?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Anonymous

Do you have any content approval enabled on the doc lib?  Are any of the fields mandatory before it can be checked in? Have you the default permissions on the doc lib i.e. they are a member of the O365 group, as are you? Do you have any trigger conditions set on the "when a file is created" trigger (elipses and settings on the trigger step).

    I'm just as curious 🙂

    Hello @DamoBird365 ,

Yes, content approval is enabled, but this should not stop Sharepoint to "read" and trigger the action?

Only name field is mandatory, but it's not an issue because all files have titles. They are member of my group, but permissions are unique. There is no trigger condition.

So based on my investigation it seems like the problem lays in content approval? I can't see the file until someone check it in, but even after that the flow is not triggered. So where the action of adding file disappears for the flow?

@DamoBird365 Yes, so disabling the 'require check out' setting solved the problem, but how to walkaround the issue and still have it enabled?

@Anonymous I don't know that answer sorry.  It may be worth logging a call with MS Support.  They will be able to confirm if it's by design or a bug.  Good luck!
