Permissions on shared flows

Hi all, I hope someone can help! I have searched old threads and have not been able to find the answer, only this link which does not answer the question Solved: Sharing my Microsoft Flow flow asks for full acces... - Power Platform Community

I want to share a flow with a colleague so they can edit it etc, but it comes up with this warning:

Owners with access to this connection can:

  • Read your user profile
  • Read, update, and delete your mails
  • Send mail as signed in user (you)
  • Create, read, update, and delete events
  • Create, read, update, and delete contacts

My question is, if I share a flow, would my colleague be able to have access to my emails and inbox? I would imagine it is not the case, but thought it was best to check first.

Thanks in advance for your expertise!

    Re: Permissions on shared flows

    Hi @Anonymous ,

As far as I know, your colleague will be able to perform all of these tasks, but only inside this flow. There are actions in Power Automate to send, read and delete emails, and your colleague will have access to it, inside the flow.

This permission won't allow them to access your mailbox via Outlook and read/send/delete emails from there, and also won't allow them to perform these tasks in other flows.
